OneWay LA wants to impact and transform the everyday lives of Los Angeles’ homeless residents through giving and our love for people. Holidays aren’t the only validators for giving to the less fortunate. If we consider our everyday, basic necessities that we purchase on a weekly, monthly, and sometimes daily basis, we could sympathize with the needs of the homeless who don’t have access to showers, soap, lotion, toothpaste, pads, and so much more. Imagine a life without some of these daily essentials? As a woman, I can’t even begin to imagine being homeless without access to pads during my period cycle. When I think of the daily needs of the homeless, it overwhelms me. We can’t meet every need but we can do our best to do our part.

Lets take time to educate ourselves around the statistical data and truths around homelessness. Los Angeles is losing more affordable housing units than any other county in California. Los Angeles’ homeless crisis is further plagued by every unit lost. The county is now struggling to allocate resources to residents that were once stable. Making an impact starts with us as individuals. We can all do our best to transform, refresh, and invest in the lives of those in need.
